The shooter, who has not been named by police, opened fire on the van and then shot himself. The bank's security video also captured Teddy's heartbroken father Vincent Couto, who was at the scene.

Footage shows a sheriff's sniper killing a suspect by shooting through a computer monitor during a bank hostage situation in Florida. Sterling Ramon Alavache, 36, was holding two Bank of America workers at knifepoint and claimed to have a bomb. He was killed instantly after being shot by a sniper's bullet after he held a knife to a hostage's throat. The precision shot ended his life, leaving the hostages unharmed. Alavache, had a history of mental health issues, addiction and suffered from paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and multiple sclerosis.
